Get Rid Of Your Mid-Semester Blues With These Classic DCOM Lyrics
Summer couldn't come any faster.
Finals are coming, the fun is done and it seems like our lives are over-- these next two months are going to drag on. I'm sure that's what we are all thinking right now. But, I'm here to help. Listen, early 2000s Disney Channel Original Movies (DCOMS) had the best soundtracks and I will defend that until my last breath. The music slapped. I'll be giving you advice a way we all understand. Disney Channel.
"We can't back down, not right now"
Like our girl, Mitchie, sang in "Camp Rock 2," "we can't back down." Think about it! You're halfway through, you just have to look on the bright side. Refresh your minds, use your planners and get your work done. The world isn't going to stop just for you, so keep it moving!
"You gotta get'cha, get'cha head in the game"
Our favorite heartthrob Troy Bolton has spoken. You gotta keep ya head in the game. Keep studying, keep practicing and keep getting better at whatever it is you do. Stay focused, time passes faster when your busy!
"Push until you can't and then demand more. Determinate, determinate"
Lemonade Mouth deserved better. But anyways, determinate means you need to go out, set a goal and reach it! Make a goal for this last half of the semester and turn your priorities to it. Whether it's raising your GPA or acing that really important final, you have got to push yourself to complete! Do your absolute best until it's done, then set an even higher goal.
"We're one and the same. I think we're almost legendary"
Rosie and Carter from the Princess Protection Program can speak for all of us. BONUS LYRIC: We're all in this together. Don't forget to lean on your friends and classmates. We can all help one another, we might be different but one thing we all have in common is we are all going through the struggle. Your weakness might just be someone's strength and vice versa. Try to meet new people, have a study group with people you aren't already friends with and just expand your horizons. (Also, you can do some networking and make some new friends!)
"Amigas cheetahs, friends for life"
The Cheetah Girls always knew what was up. Undoubtedly, the second half of the semester is going to wear some of us out and we'll need a little pick-me-up. That's when you turn to your friends, the people who have always been there for you. Hang out with them, do homework together, explore with your friends and just make some memories. They say you meet your lifelong friends in college, don't get trapped in stress and forget about the fun.
