My name is Tennessee Fairfield. I'm studying psychology and anthropology at Florida Gulf Coast University. I feel honored to be part of this program and look forward to publishing my own articles as well as digesting content from other creators. I possess a somewhat unique perspective for a millennial as I grew up without most modern technologies such as a car, computer, phone, and washing machine. My family also regularly went without electricity or water, and we always ran out of food. From my earliest memories, I remember preferring the company of my elders (Teachers, counselors, friends of my parents) than my own peers. In these ways, I can see sympathize with both millennials and older generations. Despite my socioeconomic obstacles, I managed to do well enough in school to get a full scholarship to FGCU. My plan is to get my BA in Psychology and then pursue a Master's of Social Work degree so I can be a certified mental health counselor. I discovered my obsession with psychology at a young age and counseling and teaching are my two vocations in life.
