    F. Scott Fitzgerald once wrote, "You don't write because you want to say something, you write because you have something to say", and deep down at the root of it, that is the goal of every writer--to make their voice heard. I've been a follower of the Odyssey for some time now. I have seen the heartfelt, comical, and serious articles displayed online and I was drawn to it in an instant. I would utilize the Odyssey into the community's conversation for the purpose of evoking the same emotion that arises every time someone finishes a really great book or article. The feeling of excitement--the feeling of hope. As a reader, one goal is to engage with the writer--to "walk around in their skin", feel what they feel. I want to do that. I want some reader online to connect with my perspectives, be able to engage emotionally, and to get the courage to write from reading contributors' work, or my own. Everyone has their unique story, journey, perspective, and everyone's deserves to be shared and heard--equally. That is how I believe I can contribute to the conversation.
