Ashley Colombo

Writing is my biggest passion in life. I feel it's extremely important to open doors for all kinds of conversations, especially in environments where everyone has a chance to be heard and new perspectives can always come into play. Being born and raised in Roseville, a suburb community near Sacramento that most people I ask have never even heard of, I have experienced firsthand what happens when different ideals clash with one another, especially in a hometown where one type of ideal tends to dominate over everything else. Now that I have spent a couple years at my university, I have been privy to an incredibly diverse community of students and faculty, and have developed a greater sense of empathy and understanding for all kinds of different people. As a writer, I hope to bring all of those diverse perspectives together and allow people the chance to connect with one another.
