Once you become hooked on certain books, it's not hard to become an avid reader- someone who loves to read at every second you can each day. And if you do, then these things relate to you.
You spend too much time (and money) in bookstores.
But who can blame you? Bookstores are like goldmines! And if you're not in a bookstore looking for something to read, you're looking at the library selections- instead of focusing on the work you were planning to get done. Looking online at Amazon is the next great place to look.
You're always (always!) looking for a good book to read.
You may have several other books going, but some other titles sound interesting to you so you check them out- only to have them start calling to you too!
You compare people you know or just met to some of your favorite characters
Just the slightest characteristic (even from someone you just started talking to minutes ago) can remind you of them- their family, their style, their occupation, their personality, etc.
You relate certain places or situations you see to stuff you read in a book
Especially if they were your favorite scenes!
You recommend books to people that they've never even heard of.
True, everyone may go through this at some point, but if your someone who read all kinds of different books (especially from lesser-known authors), then you may go through this more often than others.
You spend every spare second you have reading a good book
Books call to you! Every free time you have is a chance to find out what happens next!
Even if you have only picked up a book for a few minutes, or have only one favorite book, you can probably relate to at least one of these.
