Sydnie Boykins

My journey as a writer began when I was two years old, shortly after I learned to read. My fascination for words, characters, and stories grew as I entered elementary school.

Long before I was required to write journal entries and essays for school, I wrote fictional stories. I would illustrate them, and add them to the ever growing collection stack of writings on my desk. The years passed and my picture books became small chapter books, and the smaller chapter books became novels.

To me, there is nothing better than having the ability to communicate a good message through writing. Many of my earliest interactions with different places, cultures, and ideas came through the form of a well-written book, by an author who possessed the creativity to express their ideas.

When I write, not only do I attempt to express my thoughts in a way people can understand, but I also try to create work that my readers can connect with.
