I've always been interested in writing. It was born of - surprise, surprise - my voracious appetite for reading. I run a blog and it helps me vent when academics get too down to the wire. Writing and language is more than a hobby to me - I sometimes set aside an entire day just for a blog post or other writings. The style I've developed comes from being inspired by my favorite books and bands, such as Paradise Lost by John Milton and the thrash metal band Megadeth.
