Hi there, My name is Lauryn Higgins and I am currently a first year student at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in their Master of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communications program. I have been working as a freelance journalist for the last two years providing quality news coverage and arts and entertainment beat stories to my current city of Asheville, NC. I decided to pursue my masters in journalism because I feel the media landscape is evolving into a "who can get there first." As oppose to, "who can tell it best." My mission is to provide readers with honest journalism, because you deserve that, we all deserve that.
