Stephen Feely

Being a student who was born in the United Kingdom and lives in a house influenced by the culture of the UK, I bring a unique perspective in comparison to that of the regular American Student. I have been raised to look at the world and particular global issues with a different mindset than those born and raised in the United States. In no way does this mean that my viewpoint is superior in any way, it simply just means that my thoughts and opinions tend to differ from most of the people that I interact with in my environment. I am a global traveler that has been to over 15 different countries and has garnered a unique perspective of the world around me. Seeing different definitions of family, friendship, success, poverty, freedom, and equality in countries from all across Europe, North America, Central America, and Asia has given me a sense of place in the world and redefined by values and perceptions. Through the Odyssey I will be able to share these new perspectives to the local community around me with my writing.
