I'm a very enthusiastic teenager and I love sharing my opinion with the world, whether it be through social media or in person. I currently write for my school's newspaper, The Science Survey, and I would like to expand my writing to a larger audience. I mainly write News and Editorial articles for my school's newspaper. I am not shy in my writing; this past year I have written about the improvement sexual education and sexual resources at Bronx Science and have also critiqued the administration's reluctance to include a same-sex couple in the student run play in an article. I believe it is important to write about topics many people are too afraid to openly speak about. I have a lot to say and I am not afraid to say it. In my free time I play soccer, make up songs on the piano, experiment with vegetarian recipes, and work part time at a research lab where I analyze people's brain waves. I am a naturally inquisitive human being and that drives me to want to share my knowledge and opinions with the rest of world. It is important to me that I reach outside of my high school and share my perspective on issues with a larger group of people who I believe would value my opinion. In college, I would like to write for my school's newspaper and have always wanted to write for Spoon University, the online college food blog. By writing for the The Odyssey, I can simultaneously write about a wider variety of topics and reach a larger audience. These opportunities, along with improving my writing skills, really excite me. My contribution to The Odyssey would be immense, as I am a really dedicated and passionate person.
