Molly Cassatt

I'm a second year student at UCSC, with a passion for good food, company, and sunshine. I grew up outside of San Francisco, so naturally I was raised on conservation and composting. As I chose a major that is heavily science oriented, I've found myself missing the written word more and more, and am not ready to let go of my ties to it. Middle school was when I first really realized how much words meant to me. They give meaning to feelings, help people to understand and empathize. Language is the foundation of everything that we do and feel and I wanted to be able to make someone feel or think a certain way because of the words I’ve chosen to use. It’s an art form; creating the perfect combination of syllables, strung together elegantly to tell a story.
