Kaitlyn Plukas

Hi! I am a first-year student at Bennington College with a passion for any and everything Literature oriented. I am a firm believer in the power of literature; both in the way it completely transforms perceptions of the world and in the way it inspires unity amongst communities. Currently I am an intern at the Green Writers Press which is a small, Vermont-based publisher dedicated to spreading a message of hope and renewal through its support of authors’ who write on the environment in an uplifting way and by printing books sustainably. I was a Girl Scout for 8 years and received my Gold Award, a project wherein I created a puppet theatre and show to educate children about the importance of Marine Protected Areas. Additionally, I am an avid sock collector, an outdoors adventurer, and a right-handed writer who is preferential to pens. While not a member of the Greek system, I would absolutely love to write for the Odyssey. I wish to not only expand my abilities as a writer, but to also be a part of a global community that is committed to unifying individuals via articles of interest and importance.
