Elizabeth Burns

As a journalist I have an inherent passion to bring to light topics of human interest, social, political and economic issues, along with speaking to the Philadelphia community, seeking truth and sharing their stories.As a freelance journalist I have written for publications such as Fourteenth Street Magazine, The Temple News and Marinalife Magazine ,covered local cinematic red carpet events, reviewed the work of up and coming artist and interviewed local entrepreneurs. In my experience as a writer I found it's important when journalism connects people inspiring real change and community within the community. I have a deep appreciation for journalism and how it gives a platform to voices not always heard from in mainstream news outlets.
