Kevin Pierson

My name is Kevin Pierson.I was born on November 29, 1995. I am from Pilesgrove, New Jersey. I went to high school at Woodstown High School in Woodstown and now a student at the Reed College of Media at West Virginia University. I am majoring in Broadcast Journalism, with a minor in interactive media design. Growing up I always had a love for film and media, it has been a big part of my life so entering this field of work is a step in life I am achieving. In fact I love the art of filmmaking, and for that is the reason why I chose to be in this major, wanting to tell a story. With this degree I hope to go towards my goal of possibly become a show runner for one of the major new networks.

I have received much experience in film and producing live events such as sports with the WVU media relations and city council government meetings with Morgantown Government Access. I like the technical aspect and the behind the scenes area of media, wanting to create rather than participate.

I also have a background with graphic arts, using Photoshop, code, and other programs, to create graphics and images for many projects. I find that the behind the scenes and art of media is a more personal experience, building something from the ground up and creating something that is your own, and that is why I enjoy this line of work.
