Montana Byrd

This past summer I went to London to study abroad, and it was hands down the best thing I have ever done. While I was there I got to try new things, take home some incredible memories, but more importantly I got to see who I was becoming as a person. As much as all college kids, myself included, love to watch Netflix, tan, go to the gym, and dred doing laundry (little Jersey Shore #TBT), I think we can take more from our "college experiences". I'm a sophomore at Florida State University, and like to think of myself as an over achiever. The weird thing is, in high school my "over-achievements" got me far. I pretty much got everything I worked for. The problem in college, is it is so much more competitive. Almost everyone here is motivated and are driven by the same thing. It makes it that much harder, but also so much more rewarding. A little bit more about me, I play almost every sport (even if I'm not that good) there is and spend a good hour of every day looking through Instagram. My favorite gift from christmas was my gopro and I couldn't survive without a planner and a to-do list notebook. I would love to be part of the Odyssey to share my experiences and say things I know almost everyone can relate to. Everyone says I have a great sense of humour, and I am also very amused by puns. Id love to channel my inner humor and knowledge into writing articles for the odyssey. Id like nothing more then to become a triple threat by being able to be on camera, talk on the radio, and write my own material.
