I was born and raised in Ravenswood, WV - a small town on the banks of the Ohio River. Living about an hour from WV's capital city (Charleston), there wasn't much to do other than school, extra curricular activities, and spending time with family, and I was perfectly okay with that. I enjoyed four fantastic years in the choral music program at Ravenswood High School, and had the opportunity to travel the country with our competitive show choir "Rave Revue" (for those of you who don't know what show choir is... there will be plenty of articles regarding it). Outside of school, I was heavily involved with the music ministry of my home church, North United Methodist Church of Ravenswood, as well as the Humane Society of Parkersburg, WV. I am currently studying Music Education at West Virginia Wesleyan College, my "home among the hills", in Buckhannon, West Virginia. My applied instrument is voice, and I sing in several choirs on campus . I could not imagine my life taking any other path, and I feel so blessed that this is the one chosen for me by my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. My interests that will most likely influence my future articles include: musical theater, choral music, music education methodology, educational policy, gentleman's lifestyle/fashion, animal rights, various Conservative issues, Christian ideologies/news, political/crime melodramas (Castle, The West Wing, Sleeper Cell), and pop culture comedic television (The Big Bang Theory, How I Met Your Mother, Friends, Parks and Recreation), just to name a few.
