Jenna Kolodny

My name is Jenna Kolodny and I'm finishing my junior at the Bronx High School of Science. Even though I go to a school that specializes in math and science, I view myself as very academically diversified. In addition to liking math and science, I have a strong passion for humanities and writing. My mom working at the New York Times has sparked my interest in journalism. Outside of the classroom, you can find me on the soccer field or the basketball court. I play for both the varsity soccer and basketball teams, and I will be the captain of both next year. While I enjoy sports, it doesn't define me. I babysit several nights a week, I was a day camp counselor last summer, I volunteered at an orphanage in Ecuador and in New Orleans post-Katrina. I also have a love for travel. Throughout my life, I've been fortunate enough to visit numerous countries in Europe, Asia, and South America. I'd love to be a part of The Odyssey because I believe that I have a unique perspective to offer.
