With the introduction of YouTube 13 years ago came the introduction to a new kind of celebrity, the YouTubers. YouTubers create on the video-sharing platform ranging from vlogs, beauty-based, lifestyle, and more types of content. Some of these creators amass large followings, some with millions of subscribers that tune in to see their new content. YouTube is the largest video-sharing platform on the internet, so sometimes content creators can get lost in the shuffle. Don’t worry, here are 6 YouTubers that you should definitely be watching right now.

1. David Dobrik

Annika is the youngest YouTuber on this list. At just 15, this self-proclaimed “beauty-guru” created her channel at a young age. With over 90,000 subscribers, Annika has created a name for herself on the platform, especially within the beauty community. Her style is uncensored and unfiltered, and leaves no apologies for her language and content. If Annika does not like a product, she will tell her audience, regardless of sponsorships and endorsements. Annika has grossed a huge audience in a short time, showing that her sense of humor and honesty is well-respected among viewers.

3. Tana Mongeau

Speaking of uncensored honestly, Tana Mongeau is known for just that. This 19-year-old YouTuber is known for her outrageous story-time videos, as well as her wild lifestyle. Tana takes pride in being trendy and fun, and is completely open with her audience regarding her personal life. Her videos are focused on the craziness that infiltrates her personal life, as well as her clothing and makeup tips. The Vegas native documents her life through many types of videos such as beauty videos, vlogs and story-times, giving her a broad viewership.

4. Molly Burke

Molly Burke is different from many YouTubers on the platform. Molly is blind due to a degenerative disease that she contracted at a young age. She works hard to fight stigmas and stereotypes surrounding the blind. She shows that being blind does not make her disabled, but differently-abled. This 24-year-old is inspiring her audience through her notable collaborations and videos that highlight the importance of acceptance. Whether she is showing how she does her full face of makeup, how she uses technology, or fun challenges with YouTubers such as Shane Dawson, she is spreading her message of love and positivity.

5. Jenna Marbles

Also known as Jenna Mourey, Jenna Marbles is one of the most notable YouTubers of all time. She was one of the original stars of the platform and is still making quality content for her viewers. Although Jenna has her Masters in Sports Psychology, Jenna has been internet-famous since she graduated. She has recently ditched her old video style, consisting of rants and yelling, and has instead turned to comedy and fun-loving videos. She constantly is coming up with new and innovative content, and is doing it all while having a good time. Whether she is dyeing her own hair, shaving her eyebrows, marrying her dogs, or gluing rhinestones all over her face, Jenna has captivated audiences for over 10 years and continues to do so.

6. Safiya Nygaard

Safiya has been creating content for a long time, but she just recently started her own YouTube channel after leaving BuzzFeed. She creates more journalistic content focusing on decades of fashion, new foods, shopping, creating makeup, and advertising tactics. Safiya takes a more serious approach when it comes to her videos, and she wants her content to matter to her audience. Whether she is buying everything suggested on her newsfeed or dressing like she’s in the 80s for a week, Safiya’s videos are always unique and entertaining.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
