Everyone once and awhile as I scroll through twitter, I actually click on one of these pictures with the lists of things that says, "Things to Remember," or, "Life Lessons from an 87-Year-Old," and I feel a sense of comfort. Someone took the time to write these reasons out and, in a weird way, they related to my life, because even though they were over generalizing—they hit a spot with me. I thought I had everything figured out before college, but three years in I realized my priorities: what was important and what was not. So here's my list, a list from a 20 year old college girl, who makes more bad choices than good ones, but still has advice so you know it's all okay, and you're human too:

1. If he didn't answer your text it doesn't mean he doesn't care, he might just be busy.

2. Give your number to anyone who asks, you never know when someone can help you.

3. Don't feel bad about texting him 45 times sober, if it's something you want, don't give up on it.

4. But on the other hand, if he is showing no interest, find someone who wants your interest and only yours.

5. It's okay to get too drunk and tell your friends how much you love them.

6. It's also okay to get too drunk and make bad choices, you're young.

7. Any decision you made drunk was probably something you wanted sober at some point, so don't beat yourself up too hard.

8. Stop beating yourself up about things you can't change; you can't change them.

9. If a mistake was made long enough ago to the point where people stop talking about it, stop thinking about it.

10. No one cares as much about your mistakes as you do, and they will move on.

11. Embracing whatever makes you who you are is important—even if that means accepting you're a little crazy.

12. Don't let anyone call you something you aren't comfortable with—but if you are, take it with a grain of salt and laugh.

13. Not everything is so serious, people really will move on.

14. Try to listen to rap music, in a few years listening to lyrics that say, "Hit it from the back," won't be acceptable.

15. Also, try to listen to country, every once in a while a change in pace is good.

16. If you care about something or someone, show up at their door—honestly don't wait for an invite.

17. If that invite never comes, that's okay as well. Everyone isn't made for everyone.

18. You'll want to just lay down in bed and decide today isn't for you, and that's okay.

19. Don't let anyone tell you you have to smile, that's a lie and having chronic bitch face is far less work.

20. Don't let anyone discourage you from being drunk on Saturday—but make sure you take Sunday to take care of yourself.

21. Milkshake Monday is always a good idea, but so is that run on Tuesday morning.

22. Waking up somewhere you aren't sure of isn't the end of the world, but make sure you have friends that will be there to get you.

23. Having good friends is the most important thing you can find in college—find some and never let them go.

24. If friends do happen to walk out of your life, fight to keep them in, but if they keep walking, let them.

25. Don't let people walk all over you, but occasionally getting some dirt on your shirt isn't bad.

26. Write his fraternity next to his name in your phone, and don't let anyone make you feel bad about it.

27. Skip class because it's too far, but never skip the exam review—even if it's on thirsty Thursday at 9 p.m.

28. Do talk to strangers—girls you meet on the streets, the bathrooms and the back row of class can be your best friends.

29. Don't let love for you be defined by someone who never loved you.

30. Don't think love is hanging out in his frat house because he never takes you out, that's not love.

31. Also don't brush off boys because they don't want to love you—love isn't for everyone and there is nothing wrong with having fun.

32. You can love more than one person, and you can love someone more than once—stop defining love by something or someone who isn't you and what you want.

33. Don't hate him. You can hate him to your friends, but in public pretend like nothing happened—you deserve the upper hand.

34. You can miss him—you can sleep with—but don't take him back.

35. How you overcome something is more important that how it happened.

36. Looking cute for class is not important, actually doing the work and absorbing the information is.

37. Have guy friends, have lots of them, and don't let anyone say negative things because you're one of the guys.

38. Cherish your sorority sisters, even if they piss you off, they want what's best for you.

39. Be a roommate that you would want – remember you pay for half of the room and should be able to live your life.

40. Dress up when you go out at night, you deserve to look hot.

41. Answer his booty call, even if your friend told you not to, and so did your mom... But it's not their life, it's yours. Is it going to make you happy? Do it.

42. The weekend isn't overrated—embrace Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

If it makes you happy, do it, and never feel bad about things that you are okay with.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
