1. Gangnam Style- PSY

Gangnam Style was a definite 2012 staple in the music world.

How could we ever forget? This was the beginning of Taylor's new sound, and this song remains on breakup playlists of today.

3. Payphone- Maroon 5

This song is guaranteed to get stuck in your head anytime you hear it. That's probably why it was so popular.

4. Feel So Close- Calvin Harris

This was a total 2012 bop.

5. Somebody That I Used to Know- Gotye

We all knew every word to this song in 2012. We probably all still do. And the music video might still be burned in your brain, too.

6. As Long as You Love Me- Justin Bieber

Beliebers went crazy over this one, and so did non-Beliebers.

7. Ho Hey- The Lumineers

This was a major 2012 feel-good song, and it still is.

8. Drive By- Train

Everybody and their mothers loved this song. Especially the moms, though. Let's be real.

9. Glad You Came- The Wanted

If you remember this one, you might also remember the 2012 feud between One Direction and The Wanted.

10. Whistle- Flo Rida

A lot of us were definitely too young to be singing this in 2012.

11. International Love- Pitbull

How could we forget Mr. Worldwide?

12. I Won't Give Up- Jason Mraz

I'd be lying if I said this isn't still one of my favorite songs.

13. We Are Young- fun.

We were young when this one was a hit.

14. Home- Phillip Phillips

This is still such a heart-warming tune.

15. Locked Out of Heaven- Bruno Mars

Bruno Mars's golden days.

16. The One That Got Away- Katy Perry

Along with "Teenage Dream" this song was a huge hit, and still is. A lot of us cried to this one (and maybe we still do).

17. I Will Wait- Mumford & Sons

Along with some others on this list, this song falls in the feel-good category.

18. Don't You Worry Child- Swedish House Mafia

Another feel-good tune that we loved in 2012.

19. Call Me Maybe- Carly Rae Jepsen

This song was fun at first. And then it was overplayed. And stuck in our heads.

20. Want U Back- Cher Lloyd

I definitely forgot about this one, but I think Cher Lloyd was the beginning of the bad bitch era.

21. What Makes You Beautiful- One Direction

This one is definitely self-explanatory.

22. Set Fire to the Rain- Adele

A powerhouse tune by a powerhouse artist.

23. Everybody Talks- Neon Trees

This was a fun one, and it's still a song to have a one-man dance party to.

24. Party Rock Anthem- LMFAO

We were ahead of our time with this one. Just a little.

25. Ass Back Home- Gym Class Heroes

Never really thought about the fact that the band name was "Gym Class Heroes" until now, but we definitely hopped to this one in 2012 gym class.

Some of these we loved, some we hated, and some we never got out of our heads.... but nevertheless, these 25 songs were definitely on your iPod in 2012. Just admit it.
