In the past years, there has been a large exiting and entering of physical lands, an activity that has occurred throughout the history of our species, humans. Only now, when the numbers increase, do the critics voicing their concerns reach many territories. People are concerned about the damage that will come about — refugee men assaulting women. This act alone has been enough to desire an implementation of regulations around access — entering certain countries — avoiding the fact that people are moving for safety. For survival. There is extensive reasoning as to what that means to each person.
People only want to permit good refugees or good immigrants to their countries. I guess this means people need to compete to meet the standards of what is categorized as worthy of entrance. One person’s acts restrict an entire group of people from reaching safety. Solely due to the fact that men, non-white men, to be specific, are seen as monsters. As if these men are more malicious than any other men, such as white men. An assault or rape is not justified, but it does not mean that men from poorer countries with darker skin are the only ones that commit an offense toward other bodies.
What about the men that feel they have the authority to have sex with their partner whenever they please, without consulting? Without allowing their partner to say they changed their mind in the middle of the act. Soon their partner begins to believe this habit is normal, having their bodies violated, repeatedly. What about the man that remains silent when women are constantly objectified in media and attacked by sexual commentary? Their silence does not affect them. It does impact the women that may not be able to voice their fear, prolonging their trauma.
Your men are not better if your society perpetuates a pattern of suffrage and trauma. They are the only ones that can completely abolish this cycle.
