With 5 seasons and millions of viewers, it's safe to say that Orange is the New Black is a pretty popular show. Even if you don't personally watch it, I'm fairly positive you've at least heard of it since it's a Netflix favorite and with a new season just released, it's all anyone can talk about. While the circumstances of everyday life are a bit different than Litchfield, the characters on the show are overall pretty regular people, in fact sometimes they're just like your own friends.

1. The "Smarty Pants" - Piper Chapman

That friend that just seems to know everything and could literally come up with a hundred ways to make something better (even if it is prison living conditions)

2. The "Cool Girl" - Alex Vause

She's mysterious and sometimes aloof, but still a really good friend to have. You consistently find yourself being amazed at the latest awesome thing she's gotten into

3. The "Mom Friend" - Red

Although she might do it begrudgingly sometimes, she always looks after her girls and she's definitely someone you don't want to mess with when shes in mom mode

4. The "Artsy One" - Dayanara Diaz

She's literally always making something or doing something, creating some sort of art that leaves you feeling like the amateur you really are

5. The "Athletic Friend" - Janae Watson

Some people are just more athletically inclined than others. They always have endless energy and are always getting ready to go do some form of exercise as fun (I'll stay home with my Netflix, thanks)

6. The "Activist Friend" - Brooke Soso

That friend with the heart of gold that plans to save the world one day at a time. There's a lot to be admired about someone so passionate about making the world a better place

7. The "Tough Love Friend" - Nicky Nichols

Someone that always has your back, but doesn't beat around the bush to save your feelings. You can always count on her for some #realtalk

8. The "Boy Crazy Friend" - Lorna Morello

She's a sweet girl, but she's definitely boy crazy. She's either obsessing about her current flame or plotting for her next one

9. The "Funny Friend" - Tasha "Taystee" Jefferson

The friend that always provides the comic relief. You can never take her too seriously but you can always count on her for a good time

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
