I Asked 20 People, Young And Old, What They Were Thankful For

People are thankful for all different things that have affected their lives in many, many ways. I find it so interesting to learn about what has made the biggest impact on that person's life.

Frances, 61

I am thankful for CTCA and the great staff, the medicine and knowledge to rid people of cancer. Thankful that Rachael's chemo is over with and I'm thankful for my family, friends, my job and my health.

Kristi, 28

I am thankful for my mom. My dad died when we were young so my mom had to raise us alone. I am sure it was a struggle most of the time, but you would never know it. She remained strong through it all and pushed us to be the best we could be. She always taught us that we could do anything we set our mind to do and she loved us unconditionally. I am the loving, caring, successful women I am today all because of my mom. Even as adults, she still shows us daily how much she loves us. If My children love and appreciate me as much as I love and appreciate my mom, I will know that I am doing something right.

Casie, 28

I'm thankful for family, friends that feel like family, and people who choose to be your family when they don't have to.

Scarlett, 19

I am thankful for Tinder. If it wasn't for Tinder, I wouldn't have met several military guys. If it wasn't for Tinder, I wouldn't have met a bouncer that once woke me up at a bar. If it wasn't for Tinder, I wouldn't have had awkward walk-ins with guys in public or at work. If it wasn't for Tinder, I wouldn't have found my boyfriend. Thanks, Tinder.

Matthew, 20

I am so thankful for my beautiful girlfriend, Scarlett. She makes all of my days brighter with her outgoing personality and glowing smile. Her smile makes my heart flutter and makes sparks fly. I love spending all of my time with her and making such beautiful memories with her. She is the best thing that God has ever blessed me with and can't wait to see where our future travels throughout this beautiful journey.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
