"The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, I feel like a Disney Princess."
I recently went to Disney World with my family for Fall Break, and it was family fun. It stands that no matter how young or old you are there is something in Disney World for you. Even going to Disney World as a 19-year-old I still was star struck at meeting the characters/princesses. My inner child was running free all over the Magic Kingdom. Quite literally my dad, sister Maggie and I skipped down the middle of Main Street on the first day there.
Everyone in my family had something they wanted to do when we came on the trip. My dad wanted to see what the Avatar world was like so we did that in the Animal Kingdom and he was astounded. The recreation of the world was just amazing, the glowing lights and floating chunks of land in the sky.
My mom wanted to ride the slinky dog ride that was in toy story land at MGM. Toy story land purely was like being submerged in Andy's backyard. You feel toy size among all the big pencils and other decorations.
My little sister wanted to ride Splash mountain because the first time she did, she got a bit scared of it. But after splashing along through the briar patch, she was still terrified of the big drop.
I was invited to a tea party by Alice in Epcot. Complemented on my yellow striped shirt by Daisy Duck in MGM studios. And met my favorite mermaid under the sea in the Magic Kingdom. All my little kid dreams came true.
There's plenty to do no matter what age you are. There are kids ride such as Peter Pan, and It's A Small World for younger children and a handful of more rollercoaster types for older people such as Rockin' Roll Roller Coaster or Space Mountain. If you're looking for good food, the Food and Wine Festival that happens is incredible. You walk around all the countries and can sample some authentic food.
The whole four days we were in Disney flew by in a swirl of stomach-turning drops on rides and cinnamon churros. Overall the family fun in Disney is always one for the books.
