crocs- kräks, noun, the comfiest shoes you'll ever bless your feet with the privilege of wearing

Crocs. Oh, the opinions on these shoes. Let me tell you, no one is in the middle on this subject. When it comes to Crocs, you either love them or hate them.

I think my viewpoint is quite obvious, but to clarify I am a 100% supporter of the amazing shoes that are Crocs and here’s why.

1. Colors, colors, and more colors!

First of all, they come in just about every color imaginable which means they go with just about anything. On the way to practice? Slip on some Crocs. Quick trip to the grocery store? Slip on some Crocs. Cold wintery drive to school? Slip on some Crocs with the inside fur built in. Crocs have an answer for absolutely everything.

2. Comfort a.k.a. what matters!

Now, if you're like me, style definitely is not your first or only priority. Comfort is where the real test comes in and boy do these shoes pass with flying colors (no pun intended). Crocs offer support and breathability and if you ask me what else is there?

3. Jibbitz!

Another great reason to treat yo' self to a pair of Crocs is quite simple. JIBBITZ! You can use them to show what sports or hobbies you like, or just simply to spice up an outfit, but either way they can really add to your awesome, Crocs inclusive, outfit.

4. Save some cash!

They're pretty freaking cheap if you ask me! Any comfortable shoe usually costs a solid $50 but head up to your local shoe store and you can find yourself a nice pair of crocs for $29.99. That sounds like an unbeatable deal to me!

5. An easy way to twin with your besties!

I'm not gonna lie, Crocs started off pretty well and took a quick nose-dive at my school. If you were seen wearing Crocs past about first grade, there must've been something wrong with you...until about 2 years ago when they made their comeback.

Now, if you come to my school, you'll see about half the students (the cool ones) wearing this amazing shoe and matching their friends.

6. A comfortable alternative to heels at prom!

Let's face it, every girl EVER will tell you that the worst part of prom is the uncomfortable heels. From recent experience, I can say blisters come quick and it just isn't fun.

This is yet another problem Crocs are able to solve. If you're anything like me, those shoes come off as soon as you walk in the door to prom, so why not just wearing the cool Crocs instead of wasting even more money than you already did for a few short hours.

7. They literally make you a walking meme!

At my school, wearing Crocs started as a joke, but once they became a thing, people realized how sensible they actually are. I hated on Crocs for a long time but after giving in and trying them out, I realized how awesome they are. Don't knock 'em until you rock 'em!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
