Growing up in Forsyth County was an experience to say the least. It is a tight group of people living in a big beautiful county that we call home, and we also have adapted a lot of behaviors from it.

It has gone as far as people categorizing you as soon as they hear you are from Forsyth. If you actually grew up in Forsyth, you will understand this list entirely and to the people who don't live in Forsyth but have judged on, here you go:

1. You refer to your high school as a direction and not the school name.

2. Growing up, you explained where your friend lived by districts (South district, Lambert district, etc.).

3. You participated in hometown rivalries.

4. You knew who went to Lambert by the neon stickers on their cars.

5. You went to the county fair every year like it was a holiday.

6. Hanging out at "the Avenues" was the coolest thing you could do as a middle schooler.

7. If you didn't have a monogram on the back of your car, who were you?

8. Being able to describe your county by dividing it up in the school districts.

9. Anytime someone says, "I went to South" you immediately think, "SoFo you know."

10. You most likely hated kids at Lambert simply for being a Lambert student.

11. You have made millions of inappropriate jokes about the fact that our city name is "Cumming."

12. You knew what school someone went to based off of their car.

13. You refer to anyone you have heard of before as someone you know.

14. Everything that happened to anyone in the county was taken personally.

15. You know what kind of activities you will be doing based on the exit someone tells you to meet you off of.

16. Booger mountain was the scariest thing.

17. Indian seats were the spot.

18. Daisy's biscuits before school were a must.

19. Using the word "Foco."

20. Every car ride involves passing a minimum of two cop cars.

21. The common occurrence of people driving their car into buildings.

22. Hanging out at the Race Trac next to South High and the McDonalds near South Middle.

23. Rebel flags on the back of trucks became normal to you.

24. You make Christmas lists with price and pictures included for your parents.

25. You know the five different high school stereotypes.

26. Los Rios is always a good idea. Always.

27. Whenever you go out to eat after a football game, it must be Taco Mac or Roosters.

28. It's the Avenue, not the Collection, I don't care what you say.

29. If you are from Gwinnett County, get off our roads.

30. Mutiny against the Johns Creek kids.

31. Anytime anyone in the county died, everyone came together.

32. Lifted trucks begin to look like regular cars.

33. Telling someone, it is pronounced "for-syth" instead of "fer-syth."

34. Learning how to drive at the fairgrounds.

35. Depending on where you went to school, BB's Bagels was a fifteen-minute trek but so. Dang. Worth. It.

36. The homeless lady that walks through downtown Cumming with grocery bags. Enough said.

37. You will learn that there are five cops for every citizen in Forsyth County (or, at least, it feels like it).

38. Good 'ole Days — enough said.

39. You can literally drive over imaginary lines and say to someone "and now we are in West district."

40. You can maneuver around all six exits that make up Forsyth even if you were blindfolded.

41. Junior-Senior Wars were actually a real life war that took place every single year that had the whole county on alert and no, it has not gotten any better.

42. If you haven't spent (what feels like) half of your life in the DQ drive-thru in downtown, what do your summers consist of actually?

43. You know if you need anything that can be found on Market Place that your trip just went up an hour just due to traffic.

44. Speaking of traffic - Forsyth should have its own traffic channel for how many different places literally become un-driveable after the hours of four.

45. It is Forsyth Central, not Central Forsyth.

46. Parties at Sunset Cove.

47. We go by counties; no one else does that. When people ask where we live we immediately say the county.

48. The whole time you read this list, you found yourself missing that d*mn town.
