1. Cohen Cafe is your main place to hang out with friends before and after class

Cohen Cafe is known as the place to hang out and be as loud as you want. Nobody really cares whether you're laughing or talking. It is a great place to eat because you don't have to buy the food from the cafe in order to sit down.

2. You miss the Student Community Center Cafe

This cafe was considered to be the "healthy options" part of CCM. They even had a salad bar. Now, you can get a White Castle hamburger from a machine in its place. I personally still use the area to study. But we still miss the SCCC.

3. You have had numerous professors who have made a difference in your life

There has to be at least one professor who has reached out to you in a way nobody has before. Since we go to community college, the classes are much smaller and that gives more time to get to know your professors.

4. You love how much free food is offered at campus events

From the Welcome Back Bash to meetings with pizza, this college has it all! Any day you come on campus, there is a huge chance of free food.

5. You can't walk across campus without seeing a familiar face

This is a fairly small campus, and for that reason, you will bump into at least three people you know on the way to class. They may be from your high school or a friend from class, but you will surely bump into at least three of them.

6. You were unaware (until now) that we have an amazing media center in the back of the library

Yes, we do have a media center, but did you know how awesome it is? All of the features in there are well worth using. They even have an interview stage in there! It's pretty awesome and you should definitely check it out.

7. You go to the sleeping room in Demare Hall and get annoyed if people are talking in there.

Ah, yes, the sleeping room. The one room where all lights are out and there are plenty of couches to lounge on. Have an hour break in between classes? Go and take a nap! Trust me, it is well worth it.

8. You realize how bad it is to have class during college hour, so you avoid it at all costs

College hour is the time where you get to participate in all of the clubs and activities you love. If you want to go to the pool, there is a free swim. If you want to go to a Pet and Animal Lovers Society meeting, that's available as well. There are so many options during college hour that you don't want to miss.

9. The Office of Campus Life can give you answers to basically anything

If you go to that little area in the Student Community Center that says "Information" above the window, you can get answers to basically all questions. Whether you need to know where your class is or when the Broadway tickets go on sale, they will have all the answers!

10. The outdoor patio in front of the Learning Resource Center is the best spot to relax and study

There are only four tables here, so you have to come at the right time. If you can get a table, this is the perfect place to read a book or study. Enjoy the fall weather with a nice patio and a relaxing book. It will calm your school work stress.

11. You love the events that New Social Engine holds (such as Skyzone and cheap movies)

These events make Thursday nights so much fun. It is a clean and sober way to have a good time with your friends -- which makes it totally worthwhile. If you can, please take the time to get a ticket (most of the time they're free or $5) and enjoy!

12. You get excited for the inexpensive Broadway trips hosted by Campus Life.

You can't even get to and park at these places for the price of a CCM ticket to the show and round trip! Take advantage of these trips and have a great time!

13. This place is your home and no matter where you transfer to after, CCM will always have a place in your heart.

We are all in such a rush to leave that we forget to enjoy the moment. Make sure that if you still go to County College of Morris, make it the best experience possible.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
