If You Give A Girl A Roommate

You’re giving her way more than just someone to live with, you're giving her a home

If You Give A Girl A Roommate

If you give a girl a roommate, she'll probably be too scared to go random so she'll spend hours on Facebook trying to find a perfect roommate

If she spends hours stalking potential roomies on Facebook, chances are she'll find one she likes

If she finds one she likes, she'll probably start to a plan a color-coordinated Pinterest inspired room so they can have the best room on the hall on move on day

Once it's move in day, she'll finally get to meet the roommate and her family and have their first sleepover together

If they are having their first sleepover together (and many naps in the future) they will probably need lots of snacks and so they'll bond over their favorite foods

If they bond over their favorite foods, they'll probably bond over other things too and they may even become friends

If they become friends, chances are they'll start to go to parties together and even dress up together for halloween

if they start to go to parties together, they may even start to borrow each other's clothes, utilizing the other's endless rack of tops and jeans

If they start to borrow each other's clothes, then they will probably start to do laundry together to save money and to help the other when they don’t know how to get a tricky stain out of a shirt they borrow from someone else

If they start to do laundry together, they may even decide to brush their teeth and shower together because they’ll get lonely without the other

If they start to get lonely without the other, they’ll probably eat in the dining hall together, go out to brunch together or order Chinese takeout together

If they are eating all these meals together, they'll probably start to go to the gym together. Just kidding, they'll probably have random dance parties to throwbacks and consider that their workout.

If they start to have dance parties in their room, they'll probably invite that girl from across the hall and her friend so they can meet new people

If they start to make more friends, they'll probably start to walk to classes together or even schedule the same classes so they can all do their homework together

If they’re already walking to classes together, they’ll probably stop at the bookstore once or twice (a day) to buy new game day apparel

If they're already on campus, they'll probably take the other to the health center if they aren't feeling well

If they are spending all of this time together on campus, chances are they’ll go home with you for fall break or you’ll go on vacation with them for spring break because you can’t fathom spending more than a few days without them

If they can’t handle the long distance over a break, chances are they’ll face time every day during the summer and fly out to see each other because 3 months apart is too long.

If they basically spend their summer vacation in a LDR with each other, chances are they are best friends

If they are best friends, they’ll probably decide to be roommates again in the fall

If you give a girl a roommate, you’re giving her way more than just someone to live with, you're giving her a home.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
