You Do NOT Need To Do Everything Before You Are 30

You can do it anytime in your life.

There have been many different magazine articles of "Things To Do Before You Are 30" examples are here, another one here, and another one here. Those articles have been around for many years. They have different things like "go skydiving" "learn a new language" "get out of your comfort zone" you know all that fun stuff

Now, who says you have to do all of that stuff before you turn 30? Sometimes these articles can make it seem like you must do all these things before you turn that age, why do people assume that life stops after 30, when in fact life can just be beginning?

There are many people who have traveled the world for the first time after they turned 30. Maybe they decided to wait until they were married so then they could have those experiences with the one they loved, maybe they didn't have the money to travel during their college days because they had other expenses to pay.

There are people who have not bought a house until they were married. Not everyone becomes a homeowner before 30 and that is ok it is still an accomplishment to get a house no matter what your age is.

I also have met people who are just now starting out their degrees and they are well past 30, the fact that we put a timeline on people to achieve their goals just really drives me crazy. Sometimes people cannot start off their degrees right away, whether it be money, family, or maybe other things that happened that kept them from going to college the first time. Either way they are still getting their degrees and they are still accomplishing their goals. That is something to be proud of.

Things to do before 30? How about just live your life there is no deadline!

I believe we need to stop making all of these timelines for people to achieve those goals or learn new things. Who says that you can't learn that new language, or go skydiving, or go see the whole world. Go climb Mount Everest, go buy that new dress, go out with your girlfriend, no matter what your age is go out there and live your best life!

Carpe Diem!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
