The time is upon us for December graduation, and if you, like me, are done, you're probably bursting at the seems.
No more waking up in a cold dorm, or nasty college house hungry and with three dollars in your account. No more 10 page papers, bad wifi, or 8 am class! Nope, you are done, zilch, gonzo! Your life is going to be so together when you get out of here! Adulting here I come!
Well, post college is not all it's cracked up to be. Trust me, 8 am lectures turn into 7:30 am jobs, and that dorm room turns into a small apartment with a cat and probably a ghost. Going out doesn't hardly consist of raging house parties anymore. You go to "drinks with friends". In-between-class-naps aren't a thing anymore, it's come-home-from-work-and-fall-asleep-watching-SVU-reruns.
So in reality, just like that Trace Adkins song, you're gonna miss this. Mostly, the people, the parties, and the naps, but you'll also miss the little things that made your college special.
So don't say you are never coming back, because odds are you will. You won't be glad you are done when your alarm goes off and you can't skip work like you can class. More often than not, all two of your friends will be busy and you will watch Netflix and wallow in self pity.
So yeah, you will definitely miss this crazy beautiful college experience, and that's okay.
