I believe that one of the biggest issues our generation faces is lack of confidence and a lack of self worth. The voices of this world tell us that we're not good enough, not pretty enough, not smart enough, or not skinny enough, and we listen to them.
We fall into the comparison trap. We fall into the assumption that we won't ever good enough, and that everybody around us is better than we are. I can't fathom enough how false those accusations are. It would be easy for me to tell you to lift your head back up and walk with confidence. It would be easy for me to tell you to block those voices, but I don't know what you've been through. I don't know what those voices have done to you. I've struggled for a long time to find my voice and to find my worth. I had listened to the voices around me that told me I was worthless. I've questioned if living was worth it - if anything I did mattered.
When I found Jesus, I found my confidence and my worth. I found every single corner and crevice when I dug into His love. I saw truth and I felt compassion like never before. I then found that the voices in my head were from the enemy. He is busy and he is active. He is out to steal, kill, and destroy, and he will do everything in his power to tell you that you mean nothing.
Let this truth sink in to your heart: The creator of the universe created you in HIS image. Because He created you, you are enough. You don't have to feel you are, because you will always be. It does not matter what you've done. You are still deserving of His grace. You are pretty enough, you are smart enough, and you are worthy. Jesus says that you're worth more than rubies, that you shine brighter than the sun, and that you are fearfully and wonderfully made. You are perfect to Him. There is not one flaw in His eyes. When you find Jesus, you'll find love. His love holds us and it grounds us. As He begins to mold you, you'll find purpose, and you'll find confidence. You don't have to be strong enough, He is. However, you do have the power to stop the enemy's attack.
"Declare truth over them and refuse to be in obedience to anything that does not align itself with God's word."
Whatever voice in your head is telling you that you are anything less than enough is lying. Embrace who you are, because it's exactly who you were created to be.
