People assume that you have to be a fashionista to have style. Not true! We all have our own individual style. Everyone has a unique sense of fashion. You can wear sweatpants everyday of the week and still have style. Our personality connects with our unique style. No matter what you wear, your personality intertwines with your personal style. You don't have to go to school for fashion or have a passion for fashion to have style. I believe that, we are born with our own unique sense of style. I think it's amazing that everyone has a different way of dressing.

I also believe that, we can change or modify our style at anytime. We all have the ability to change our style at any moment. Each person is different, when it comes to modifying our style. These are the three main examples that our style can change or shift: the weather, our mood, and the media/celebrities. Now, I'm going to breakdown each topic one by one.

1. Weather

Weather has a big affect on our style. We tend to change our style depending on the weather. Depending on where we live, we have to adjust our style to the seasons we are in. For example; winter in Florida and winter in Ohio are totally different. In Florida it's warm in the winter, so you can wear dresses, shorts, and skirts. But, in Ohio it's below zero, cold, and snowing. So, you would have to wear a coat, hat, and gloves.Weather is one of the biggest examples, of how our style changes. Weather will always contribute to our style and the places we live.

2. Mood

Mood is another example of how our style changes. We tend to change our style based on how we are felling that day. Mood has a huge affect on our style. We use color to explain our style and our feelings. For example; the color yellow represents happiness and joy while, the color blue represents sadness, and the color red represents anger. We use these colors to show our feelings at that day or moment. The color clothing that we wear usually changes based on seasons and months. Mood and weather coexist with each other. By the fact that mood and weather actually are the two biggest examples of how our style can change. Mood and weather both have a affect on style in general.

3. Media/Celebrities

Media and celebrities is another big example of how our style changes. We tend to somewhat keep up with the latest trends by TV, internet, and our celebrities. The media does play a big part in our style changes. We tend to look at different award shows to see what our favorite celebrities are wearing on the red carpet. Celebrities are what we tend look at to give us new trends on the scene. Media and celebrities, I would say is the biggest example of how our style changes.

All three of these examples explain how our style changes day to day. Thank you for reading my article this week! Next week I will be talking about the classic trends that have been coming back for the last three years.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
