Growing Up Is Scary, And It Is Totally OK To Be Scared

Everyone grows up, its true it has to happen. No matter what, you are going to get older and things are going to change. Time is never going to slow down, but if you are afraid of it, its ok because we are all a little afraid and whoever tells you they aren't is most likely lying.

Growing up is hard, there are so many things you have to do and a hundred million decisions that you have to make.

Everything your parents use to do for you, you are slowly going to have to start doing for yourself. Like going to the grocery store and having to pay for your own food, not being able to just hang out at home all the time. Having to start to pay for all of your stuff, having to decide what it is that you would like to do for the rest of your life.

Its a lot of pressure, especially because you want to succeed.

You aren't always going to succeed on the first try of doing something but you just have to try and try again till you get. Growing up means accepting that you aren't always going to be good at everything but trying anyway. To be the bigger person, and try your hardest. It is always about not giving up because the moment you do that it is gonna be so hard trying to start back up again.

Once you get the hang of adulting its all gonna be ok, just know that everything will work out in the end.

After all of the stress, you will have a stable job, and a home, with kids and a spouse if that is what you want. Or a couple dogs, or just you in your home and you can realize that you made it, that all of that worry and panic and school and stress in the early years of adulting were worth it.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.
