Every year, we make New Years resolutions. Some people go for the achievable like doing a random act of kindness every day or being more open with their emotions. Others go for the long shots. Here are 7 New Years resolutions you break right after you make them.

1. Eating Healthier...

Sure you could eat a salad for the fourth time this week, but that hamburger is just calling your name! Eh, you'll eat another salad tomorrow.

2. ...Or Starting a Diet

Again, salad or burger? The burger comes with waffle fries so you'll take the burger. You'll start your diet tomorrow and it's for real this time.

3. Watching your language

You swore like a truck driver last year so you're going to cut down on the number of f-bombs you drop...that is, until you stub your toe on the corner of a cabinet.

4. Finding an S.O. this year

You didn't have anyone to kiss when the ball dropped in Times Square, but this time next year, you're determined to have somebody. You know in your heart, though, that you shouldn't rush into anything or get into a one-sided relationship just to have someone to post a cute Insta with.

5. Stop being stressed

There's no way you can once and for all eliminate every single little bit of stress from your life. Plus, once you get back to school and receive every syllabus from your 18 credits worth of classes, you can bet that your head will be spinning.

6. Quit social media...

C'mon, we both know you won't let your snap streaks die that easy.

7. ...Or staying off your phone altogether

While you shouldn't be on your phone every single second of every single day, there's just no way that you can totally quit using your phone in this day and age. Limiting your phone usage is a more practical resolution.

When you make a resolution, make yourself stick to it and make sure it's not too unrealistic. Set goals and keep track of your progress throughout the year. You'll make yourself happier in no time!

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
