Having finally watched the entire Gilmore Girls revival all the way through once, I am now going to review each episode individually and comment on what I liked and didn't like about it.

Warning: Spoilers Ahead for the first episode of the Gilmore Girls revival

Episode 1: Winter

I absolutely loved the opening with some of the iconic lines from the original series run, from the very first line "Please Luke, please, please, please!", to Paris' famous CNN meltdown speech "I had sex, but I'm not going to Harvard!"

The first scene with Lorelei and Rory was very Gilmore; tons of pop culture references, coffee and food. It brought me right back, almost like I had never left.

The bit with Rory and the 3 cellphones was a bit much for me to be honest. Cell service was never a problem in the original series so for the bit to go on as long as it did was a little too much.

I thought the scene where it started snowing and the twinkly lights in the trees came on was so beautiful, scenes like that really make me want to live in a small town like Stars Hollow!

The new setup and decorations in Lorelai;s kitchen were super adorable, the vintage look screamed Lorelai. Also, Luke's concern for the girl's eating habits was definitely a call back

Rory's treatment of Paul seemed very out of character of the Rory we all know from the original series. Maybe through the time she has changed but this seems like a very far stretch. Also, the meticulous list maker we all know and love sent her boxes home without labels? Did she just become someone completely different???

Lorelai's obsession with Lifetime movies and the completely full DVR was very Lorelai; I did sometimes did think about how much Lorelai and Rory would enjoy things like On Demand, DVR, Netflix and Hulu. Unlimited access to all the movies and tv shows they could want to watch.

Ooober made me laugh for a few minutes but I think after a while I was like Loreali throwing bagels at Kirk after he kept saying the word "Ooober" in Luke's haha! Kirk handing Lorelai the Brita pitcher in the car made laugh a little more than it should have, as did Kirk being at Friday night dinner with the girls.

The funeral scene was very well done, the Tom Waits song playing when it opened was perfect. The table next to his coffin with the picture of Emily and Richard from their vow renewal, the record that Rory got Richard for his birthday as well as the book that Lorelai got him were perfect call backs to the original series. It wasn't dwelled on too much, but acknowledged it just enough.

Paris' story line was so great! First of all, Liza Weil looks amazing! Love the short hair and professional look. Her job seemed like something that Paris would be doing, being the top person at a first rate medical facility.

Naomi Shropshire (AKA Alex Kingston) was so hilarious, I am familiar with her work on Doctor Who, so when she made a comment about the "darling doctor", I giggled for sure She seemed just wacky enough to fit in with the whole Gilmore Girls vibe.

The whole Logan thing really surprised me. If anything I thought she might have bumped into him while she was in London, not already be involved with him. Also, her doing this while still technically being in a relationship with Paul was almost a reflection of the whole Rory/Dean situation in season 5.

Emily in jeans! I had seen part of it in the trailer but it was still something shocking! I was not surprised by her getting rid of things. I figured it could go one of two ways, she gets rid of everything because it reminds her of Richard or she just buys a bunch of stuff to the point where she has no more space in the house, to sort of fill the void of Richard being gone.

Overall, I think it was a good induction back into Stars Hollow and the Gilmore world. A couple things here and there were a little much, but I knew it wasn't going to be perfect. It was as good as I think it could have been.

In the spirit of the Gilmore Guys ( a hilarious podcast in which two guys talk about each episode of the series and now the reboot ), I am going to rate each episode something out of 10 somethings. I think I would give this epsiode an 8 out of 10 pet pigs (Petal was so adorable!), It was a lovely first episode and despite the few little quirks, it definitely lived up to the hype of the revival.

Tune in next week where I review the next episode Spring!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
