13 Things To Do On A Cold Rainy Day

I absolutely do not like cold and especially the rain. The rain just makes cold days even colder and more terrible.

1. Schoolwork- Yes I know this is terrible but it is something that has to get done especially if you are like me and have loads of school work to do every day

2. Watch a movie- watching a movie on a rainy day is perfect. All you need to make it better is comfy clothes, a blanket, and a snack

3. Bake- bake something that is warm like brownies or cookies and you could even eat them while you are watching a movie

4. Clean- This isn't the most fun thing but it can make you feel very productive on a day like this.

5. Draw- Draw anything. Look random things up online and attempt to draw it. You don't have to be good in order for this to be fun.

6. Spa day- This is perfect. Do your nails, a facemask, anything that you would want to do for a spa day

7. Board Games- grab a game and play it with your family or roommate(s)

8. Puzzles- Do a hard puzzle. This is the time to do it because you have all day to get it done

9. Paint- Look up videos on how to paint better because there are many little tricks that will make your art look 10 times better

10. Video games- if you are a person that likes to play video games this would be the perfect day for it.

11. Crafts- get out craft supplies and make something. If you can't decide look up things online

12. Sew- you could use a sewing machine or just needle and thread. Create something fun

13. Make up a game- sit with your family, siblings, or roommates and just make up a random game or think of a fun one to play.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
