I am a cognitive science major with the intent to be a doctor, so how exactly does writing fit into my life?
I have struggled with a lot of trials in my life but writing has always seemed to be there for me to run to. It has been an outlet for me throughout my entire life, and maybe I get from my mom who has also used writing as an outlet for her hard times.
A lot of people think writing is not for them because maybe it isn't what they want to do with their lives, but I am a prime example that writing can be for anyone and everyone.
I am able to explore my creative side by writing about things that have happened to me over my life and I am able to use writing to heal and to cope with hard times.
I fear that if I had chosen writing as a full-time career it could have ruined my passion for the creative art of writing and because I am so passionate about my future career. Just because I am not choosing my future in writing doesn't mean that it isn't a major part of my life. I love being able to use writing to be creative and express myself freely and openly.
Maybe we should all try writing.
