Shoutout to all (few) of you people writing for Odyssey that can write an article every single week with no struggle at all. All the praise goes to you. As for me (and probably the majority of writers), I sometimes have a hard time coming up with an article topic to write about, or I just can't find the words to fully describe whatever it is I'm writing about. So here's to us who sometimes struggle to get those weekly articles out there in a timely manner.
Enjoy these GIFs, relate to them, and then go write that article we both know you haven't even started.
1. Excitement
Yay! You get to write a new article! You can't wait to see what you're going to come up with this week!
2. Instant Writer's Block
WHY CAN'T I THINK OF ANYTHING?
There are so many things going on in this world, and you can't think of a single one to write about.
3. Procrastination
Honestly, you'd rather do anything than write this article and face the fact that you have absolutely no ideas of what to write about.
So you'll just avoid writing it until it's almost too late. #oops Not a good idea, but it happens every time.
4. Shock
Crap. It's the night before your article is due, and you STILL haven't started thinking of a topic.
Time to see how fast you can create something out of absolutely nothing.
5. Stress
You're literally racing the clock just HOPING and PRAYING that you can get this article in on time.
You don't need your editors calling you out for not having it submitted. #ExtremeStress
6. Acceptance
You've come to terms with the fact that your article is just going to have to be good enough.
It's not really good enough, but good Lord are you tired of writing.
7. The "Hallelujah"
YES. Your article is submitted, edited, and your EIC actually likes it!
Little did he/she know that you waited until the very last minute to actually start writing. Praise the Lord above for coming through once again.
8. Repeat
Once that "hallelujah" feeling wears off, you get to start all over again! Try not to procrastinate this time.
Just kidding, we all know you're going to.
