I've been put on this Earth to do two things. One is to empower. The other? Pondering.
So, this past week, I've had some realizations when it comes to the issue of other people's problems.
Now, when this is about friends, it is based on genuine concern. When it comes to strangers, it's a genuine burden.
What really counts here is that you are big enough to truly care about other people's problems before you can even think of your own.
It's never about reciprocation. You care. That's it. The fact that you can be someone who genuinely cares with no expectation of payback. For that, you deserve all the happiness that the world can offer you.
A quality like this is very much one in a million these days. It's rare, but it's a nice change of pace to associate with people of this nature.
Another thing I'd like to mention about reciprocation is that, even though it's a follow up of sorts, it's happening because you cared at the right time as that is who you are. When the action is directed toward you, it's a sign and a reward for going in the right direction.
Now another big concept. Caring for those who don't care about you. This is a test, but it's for you. When these situations happen, you know that you cared when so many other people wouldn't have.
This test is for you because deep down you know how you handled things. It's personal growth for you. The other end of the test is that you could be like most people and not care at all, but this is a challenge because caring is second nature. You wear your heart on your sleeve, and even though it can be a benefit, it's a fault in its own way too. I have a saying to help with this, "You can care, but care about those who care about you."
To sum all of this up, you are a human being who genuinely cares about what is around you. You are a spectacle for that. Don't let the world change your good ways because they are the glue that is holding this world together. Stay golden.
