I think we have all been here at least once. Walking into the Fitness Center or your local gym for the first time or maybe even the 50th time, and feeling that sense of, "Wow, what have I gotten myself into?" With this one of two things can happen.
1. You can leave.
2. You brave the storm.
If you are feeling brave enough to do so, you have probably encountered similar events -
When the person next to you on the treadmill jacks up their speed to anywhere between 8.5-11 and you are on a comfortable 5-7.5.
When you are actually the one increasing the speed or outlasting someone on the treadmill.
That moment your hype song comes on and you cannot help but bop a little.
When you see an appealing guy (before you realize you look like a drenched puppy).
The pre workout pep talk you gave yourself before entering this zone of FitBits and sweat (or tears, it is really hard to say).
After you have taken a fitness class whose "high intensity" description you seemed to have severely overlooked.
When in that same fitness class the instructor says, "I know this was a hard workout."
When an employee at the gym asks you if you want training to get abs.
When someone asks you to go to the gym on Saturday morning.
Know that you are not alone in these instances.
