I was watching Brian Houston preach on the Hillsong channel one night, and he was preaching about the power of your words. How many of you think your words don't matter? How many of you feel like God doesn't hear you? How does your words and faith go together?
Think of a child. What are their first words? Usually, it is momma or dada right. Parents say those wards to a child all the time when they are real young. Do you see the connection yet? Do you see the influence the parents have on the child?
Imagine if you started praising God using your words around your children and family. Would you see a change in the way they use their words? You reap what you sow. If you praise God around your children at young age or any age for that matter, there will be change.
I am a journalism major. I can preach about Jesus all I want, and the people around me will change. I want to surround myself with people who will praise God and discuss their faith openly. There are famous music artists that praise God openly in their music. People preach about the miracles that God has given them. I used to think my words were powerless until I realized that if I honor God my words will have power. My words will have influence.
The power of words is amazing all on its own. You can openly praise God and thank him for all he has done for you but don't pray. Nothing will change in your life. Speaking the promise of God into your life will change your life according Brian Houston, and I believe him because I have seen what God can do.
There's no space that His love can't reach. There's no place where we can't find peace. There's no end to Amazing Grace.Take me in with your arms spread wide.Take me in like an orphan child.Never let go, never leave my side as David Crowder would say it. Jonny Diaz would say Ninety miles an hour going fast as I can trying to push a little harder trying to get the upper hand.So much to do in so little time: it's a crazy life. It's ready, set, go it's another wild day. When the stress is on the rise in my heart I feel you say just breathe, just breathe.
It;s okay if your struggling to believe now. Hold on tight a little longer. What don't kill ya, makes ya stronger.Get back up, 'cause it's a hard love. You can't change without a fallout. It's gon' hurt, but don't you slow down.Get back up, 'cause it's a hard love.
