Ladies, listen up. How many times have you been walking down the street and have been given negative looks or rude advances from men after you reject their catcalling? Think about all the times you posted a cute photo yourself either on Instagram, Snapchat, or Facebook. How many of those comments were positive? Now really think back on how many of those hurtful comments or snarky remarks were made by other women.

In today society, it seems like everyone has a reason to hate someone for something they do. Whether that means the type of clothes they are wearing, the way they do their makeup, or the way they choose to act outside of their homes, and the list only keeps going on from there. One thing that I have noticed, unfortunately growing more common, is the way women hate or continuously criticize other women. This kind of harsh criticism does not only come verbally or face to face, but also online either through commenting on pictures, writing articles, sharing negative memes, and any other form of rapid communication.

With how our world is continuing to change more and more every day, we as women should start to understand each other more and support one another as best as we can.

The fact that there are women continuously hating other women based on just a few details of their personality or personal life is ridiculous. How does someone wearing their favorite sweats to class or a swimming suit they feel comfortable in effect your personal life? So many women are repeatedly bashed for choosing a "cheeky" swimming suit to the beach or wearing loose-fitting sweats to a morning lecture. But how does another's personal choices affect you tomorrow, or next week, or next year?

Exactly, because they don't.

Women and men are very much indeed entitled to their personal opinions, but once you choose to make those opinions public in order to change someone, they are no longer as such. They are hateful and demeaning words that only bring others down for no particular reason.

One of the other major debates popping up between women nowadays is whether a woman should be independent and do as she please, or if a woman should get married and raise a family. Both options are very much acceptable, however, to criticize a woman for choosing the opposite option that you would prefer is one hundred percent not acceptable.

Every woman is able to live her life as she chooses and for you to criticize her for her choices based on the sole fact that it is not a life you would live yourself is completely unnecessary.

This year has been one of the most challenging years for women. With men in our government trying to decide what is best for our bodies and such, it is more important than ever for women to support one another. Whether you disagree with someone's life choice or not, standing together is the only way women will continue to be strong and carry on.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
