Clair's Point of View:
It was a rainy Monday afternoon in the middle of April. I was conducting interviews for a new floo sales manager. With hours of dreadful interviews, the last candidate entered my office. He was wearing a black button up dress shirt with a striped tie and black dress pants. He has brown short hair with gorgeous blue eyes and a smile that can light up a room. I ask him, "Can you tell me about yourself?"
"I graduated in the top of my class with a Bachelorette Degree in chemistry and a minor in business. In my spare time I remodel cars and work on computers." As he was talking I got lost in his eyes and didn't remember what he said, so I told him, "You got the position. It will be a pleasure working with you." He smiled from ear to ear and shook my hand. After he left all I could think about was his handsome features.
Mr. Brooks Point of View:
After working at Monclairs Fashion Boutique for three years, I noticed Clair would always act flirtatious around me. She would try to get as close as possible to me and laugh at all of my jokes even when they weren't funny. I had a feeling Clair wanted to be more than just co-workers. I didn't know how to tell her I don't have the same affection towards her. She's a nice person but isn't my type. Honestly, I'm not looking for a relationship right now, because my last one broke my heart when she left me for another man over six months ago.
As I was finishing up paperwork, Clair comes over to me and says, "There's a new job position opening for a sales floor associate and I recently hired a new employee. She starts this Friday, so introduce yourself to her and make her feel welcome. Her name is Rebecca Hayes."
"Can't wait to work with her!"
"Do you want to grab a bite to eat after work?" Clair asked in a flirtatious tone.
"Uh I'm sorry but I had a long day and need some rest, but thanks for the offer." Clair seemed disappointed with my response and all she said was, "Okay no problem, maybe another time." Then she turned and walked out of my office.
Rebecca's Point of View:
I was so excited for my first day of work at Monclairs Fashion Boutique! A new job equals a new life, and that's what I need right now. My old life back in Florida is now behind me. As I drive to work I think about how a new start would be good and how my family will be proud of me. As I pull into the parking lot, I notice all of the people going into the store. I never realized how popular this store is until I saw it with my own eyes. I enter the store and see Clair the manager and a tall attractive gentleman standing next to her. Our eyes meet for the first time. I wait for him to look away first but he continues to stare. I start to feel uncomfortable and direct my attention to Clair
