To the man who stole my heart,

Thank you for choosing me when I felt like I would never find love. Thank you for choosing me when I least expected any guy to even look at me twice. Thank you for being my friend before we started dating. Thank you for being understanding, supportive and for never giving up on me. Thank you for never leaving my side. Thank you for always being here when I need you. Thank you for helping me through many different college and life experiences. You are one of the kindest people I know. You’re constantly giving of yourself, selflessly. You’re a hard worker and you make me proud to be your woman. I just want you to know how much I appreciate you and admire you.

I admire your beauty, both inside and out. Yes, your physical strength is amazing to me as well, but I look at you and I see God’s true beauty in your eyes, in your smile and in the heart of your personality. Your smile has the ability to turn any person’s day around, especially mine. Your happy, easy going attitude rubs off on me all the time. That’s one of the things I love most about you. I love the ability that you have to make others feel the good that life has to offer. You always remind everyone in your life that life is too short to be bitter or upset about things and I’m always grateful for that reminder. Your reminder that everything will be okay, even in hard times is something I know I can always turn to.

The feeling that I get from being in your arms is amazing. Your arms are unlike any other place in the world. The whole world just stops and for those few moments, or hours, no matter what anger or pain, I felt before, it all disappears. As soon as you hug me, it feels like I can get through anything. The warmth of your embrace and the calmness that envelops me through your touch never ceases to amaze me. Your voice always brings me back to a peace that I can’t explain. Every night as we talk to end our day, I calmly drift in and out of sleep, listening to the soothing sound of your voice.

Thank you for always supporting my career choice and through helping me find what I am passionate about. Thank you for helping me feel like I can follow my dreams and to never give up on them. Thank you for giving me pep talks when I don’t feel strong enough, or smart enough. Whenever I think my career choice was a bad idea, thank you for reminding me that God gave me the passion for writing for a reason and that He is going to take me far, as long as I keep the faith.

I admire the way you are always going out of your way to help others without being asked. I admire the way you take care of the people at your job, as if they are your own family members. You seem to never get easily distracted. I always wonder how you do it. You are always the calm one even during hard times and I lean on that strength and the calmness you have. I gain some of my inner strength from you.

Thank you for being a person that I can always turn to and a person that I look up to. Thank you for the gentle push forward towards my career choice, and for the bluntness that I sometimes need as a wakeup call. Thank you for always being willing to talk through problems instead of letting them fester for days on end.

Thank you for always making me laugh when I’ve had a hard day, and for making me see the beauty of my life and our lives together, even through hard times. Thank you for helping me to have more self-confidence, and for believing in me when I didn’t believe in myself.

Thank you for teaching me many things. To always trust in myself and for helping me believe in myself. Thank you for always believing in me even when I don't believe in myself thank you for always reminding me that everything will be okay and that God will provide.

Thank you for being my adventure partner and my duet partner, especially for Disney songs. You are the only guy I've ever known who can sing “Kiss De Girl”, and then sing any Peabo Bryson song. Singing with you is always an honor and a fun time.

Most of all, thank you for being who you are and for being the person God has called you to be. Thank you for being a man of Christ and showing Christ’s love in all that you do. Thank you for being the man that I want to spend the rest of my life with.

All my love, forever and always,

Your girlfriend

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
