Winter break is a glorious time to be able to come home, unwind, and relax. For some people that is exactly how it goes, and for some others not so much. So here's your winter break described as GIFS.

1. Catching up all the missed Zzz's

Hopefully, that's all you did for winter break! But knowing how things don't go as planned, you were probably doing the next one all break

2. Running countless amounts of errands for your parents

While helping your parents is great and I am sure they appreciate it, you would probably rather be binge-watching Netflix.

3. Watching the ball drop

She went in with full excitement of hoping how your year will go, but then when it fails she makes the best of it! Maybe we should all go in with this mindset for the rest of the upcoming year!

4. Catching up with friends at home

Is there really any better feeling than that moment when you see all your besties together after such a long time!? Don't fight me on this, I know there isn't a better feeling!

5. Finally packing to go back to college

Being ever so eager to leave your hometown and trying to jam every possible thing in your car!

I'm sure your winter break didn't go as expected, but hopefully, you were still able to make the most of it and appreciate the time you had off. Always remember that even when things don't go as planned to appreciate the time you have with others. And to try and find the good in everything, even when it seems like you can't.

I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
