As we approach winter full steam ahead it's getting chilly, the trees are bare, and we're busting out all the cute winter sweaters and booties. This time of year also means Christmas and snow, for some.
For us South Floridian babies, winter is just like any other season... hot.
We are not exaggerating when we say there are no seasons and things really roll different around here. With winters by the beach, things can be extra exaggerated especially when the weather takes a slight dip. So, this is how we SoFlo babies spend our winters:
*The weather drops below 70 degrees* - "I'm freezing!"
Break out the boots, scarves, and puffy jackets folks! It's gonna be a crisp 65 degrees out!!
Not letting "winter" stop you from going to the beach.
After all, it is still like 85 degrees... at least. Cue "S'winter" by Phineas and Ferb or "In Summer" from Frozen.
Having a love/hate relationship with ugly sweater parties.
I love a good ugly sweater and a good holiday celebration, however, it's way too hot to wear a sweater that's heavy. The struggle is real.
Not knowing what a "white Christmas" is.
Do you wanna build a sandman?
Not knowing how to layer or owning any warm clothes.
This becomes tricky when you go on trips around the holidays because what do you even wear when it's actually cold? And how does one layer clothing?
Wearing whatever you want to holiday events because it's not cold.
No difficulty in finding a coat, or matching warm and cute shoes for your holiday or New Year's party!
