My previous article I discussed Black Friday and Cyber Monday. I prefer Cyber Monday because not only is it easier than dealing with people, but it's more efficient. You can stay home, in your pajamas behind a computer screen and not worry about rude, shoving people
Cyber Monday has become more successful than Black Friday in the past years. With more people doing online shopping, stores have seen a decline in shoppers on Black Friday. It has been reported in past years that more people shop online between Thanksgiving and Monday than in-store retail shopping. Online shopping makes it easier than going to the store.
But why do I find it more beneficial and efficient?
For one, you don't have to wake up early, wait in lines and only to have a slight to none chance of getting what you wanted to purchase. With online shopping, as long as it's not of stock you are more than likely to be successful in your hunt for Christmas gifts or whatever you intend buying. You get to enjoy that cup, or cups of coffee in the comfort of your own home and not have to wait in endless lines.
Two, getting to stay in your pajamas. And nothing is better than staying in your pajamas. You don't have to force yourself to wear uncomfortable jeans and a heavy coat. Jeans and winter coats, the two things I hate the most. I prefer to stay in my pajamas and enjoy my shopping or really anything inside the comfort of my house. Or dorm room.
Three, no people. What's worse than wearing jeans and winter coats? Dealing with rude people trying to shove their way through to get something they want. Black Friday shoppers can go to extremes when it comes to making sure they get what they want, especially if it's the last item on the shelf. Some shoppers are just outright crazy and mean on Black Friday so no thank you. I'll just stay inside my warm house, with Christmas movies playing.
Four, Black Friday technically lasts all month long. I've already come across some stores releasing their Black Friday deals. What's the point of dedicating an entire day to Holiday shopping if you are already having deals? It kind of sucks the fun right of Black Friday. You also have the stores who open up at seven p.m. Thanksgiving night. Can even I enjoy a relaxing day, filled with food without being bombarded by ads about Black Friday starting on Thanksgiving night?
The only reason I would want to go out on Black Friday is either for food or to watch all the crazy people. Besides that, you can find me sitting at home, in my pajamas eating leftovers and watching Christmas movies while waiting for Cyber Monday to roll around. Nothing ever beats online shopping, especially when they offer free shipping.
