Wildcat Days At UNH

My life in a week...

Wildcat Days At UNH

Each day, life gets a bit easier and a bit better being away at school. I’m experiencing more and more; football games, team breakfasts, the smell vomit two doors down from our dorm, half eaten Ramen in the unisex bathroom sink...and so much more!

I can see and feel my body getting stronger, and there are less and less days I hate my body. I see my legs get more muscular, and my stomach shrink enough for my pants to be a bit too loose now. I‘ve been wearing Large shirts instead of XL. So many things are different and for the better. Sure I still have my low days, but so much of them are highs spent at 5-6am on the water, watching the sun rise slowly and then all at once, getting meals with my roommates or newfound friends, watching The Princess Bride on the big screen at midnight on a Saturday night, making sprinkle waffles with extra whipped cream and seeing Finding Dory in 3D (For free!) on campus, having lunch at Libby’s with Timmy and my parents, attending the homecoming parade and participating without intentions, getting care packages from my mom’s amazing co-worker Sheila… Life is pretty good.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
