Ever heard the saying that your twenties matter? I had. In fact, your twenties serve as the defining decade. Most importantly, they serve as the most valuable and cherished years of your life. I cannot stress and concur enough how valuable this statement is.
Learning and figuring out who you are is not easy. In fact, it is an extremely complicated process. The trials, ups-and-downs, and our darkest moments we face can either make or break us ten or twenty years down the road. Most of all, it is hit-or-miss.
The twenties are the defining points in our lives. It can be either your first love, first time voting, or just first time for everything. It's the big shift from being a teenager (reckless, smart, brainy, etc.) in high school to an actual grown up making big life moves. Most of all, it's the time for "adult-ing."
At your twenties, curveballs are thrown at us. It has for me in the last two weeks. From prepping things at the last minute, studying for two tests in a week, getting fired from a part-time job, and preparing to register for my last semester of undergrad (and also applying for graduation too), you cannot help but feel that you just want to run away. NEWS FLASH: It gets better.
You're going to make mistakes- you're going to have your bad and good days. Don't worry about it. It is just life. Your twenties are there to help guide you to the place you want to be. You're ok. You're going to be OK. Just breathe, everything will be alright.
