If you know me, even just a little bit, you probably know that I love the beach and just going to the beach in general. It is my favorite place ever, shout out to the fact that I live in Florida because I can go to the beach year-round too (hehe). I even have a cool tattoo of a little wave right above my ankle on my leg, that is how you know the love is real, right?!

So, today I wanted to talk about why the beach is my favorite place to go. I think everyone has their signature place that they are attracted to over any others. I am talking about a place where you can go and unwind and forget about your worries that you may have. Do you have one? If you do, then that is super cool. Maybe you are like me and love the beach too, if so, then you are at the top of the cool list in my world.

The reason that the beach is like a second home to me is because that is where I find my peace of mind. Whenever I have a rough week because I am stressed out about school, or just life in general, I know that a trip to the beach will always cheer me up. Even if I just take a ride to watch the sunset, that is also very calm and refreshing to me.

Going to the beach and just watching and listening to the waves crash on shore is one of the best things in the world to me. It is something so simple, and yet it somehow clears my head and my anxious thoughts seem to dissipate for the time being, which is quite nice considering my anxiety gets the best of me most of the time.

I enjoy going for walks along the beach with my mom and just talking about life and picking up some cute shells, too. The smell of the salty air is also pleasant and relaxing. I love feeling the warmth of the sun on my skin for some reason too. I know, probably a little weird, but what can I say?

So, why is the beach my happy place? I could go on and on telling you about my love for such a beautiful place that I call paradise, but I am sure that would bore you to tears. The beach is my happy place because it is so relaxing and peaceful to me when I am sitting in my cute beach chair in the soft sand and just admiring the scenery around me. Especially when I see dolphins, that is usually the best beach day ever!

I get overwhelmed very easily, which is something I am still working on, but whenever I need a break I know that the beach will always be there to brighten my spirits. The beach is where all my worries and annoying thoughts seem to subside and I actually enjoy the day to the fullest. All I need is a good book, some tunes, and some yummy food and beverages to keep me entertained and I am a pretty happy girl at the beach!
